Stone Heads into General with Powerful Momentum
Over $200K Raised thru July 15
(AUGUSTA, GA) - John Stone for Congress heads from the primary into the general election with strong momentum after raising over $200,000 and winning 19 of 22 counties in Georgia's 12th Congressional District, including overwhelming margins in all four of the district's largest cities.
With 100% of precincts now reporting, Stone won 56.7% district-wide in the three-way race, including 55% in Savannah, 68% in Milledgeville, 76% in Statesboro, and 78% of the vote in Augusta.
Stone for Congress ended the July 15 primary election having raised a total of $200,360.63, and entered the general election with $50,597.70 cash-on-hand after paying all primary expenses. Over 400 individuals from all 22 counties of the district contributed to the campaign.
